Unlike other commercial aquatic consultants, Northwest Aquatic Eco-Systems takes pride in defending our client’s rights in pursuing whatever control technology that fulfills their needs in an economical and financial responsible fashion. Our ability to effectively mediate potential expensive legal issues between clients and impending litigants permit programs to proceed in a timely fashion while protecting the positions of all interested parties. Northwest assisted the Washington State Department of Ecology in upholding the legal grounds our current Washington State NPDES permit operates under. Northwest has also taken the Department of Ecology to task on NPDES related issues and has successfully removed inappropriate permit regulations from the text of the document.

Most recently Northwest Aquatic organized legislative testimony that successfully defeated legislation that would have added thousands of dollars to present treatment costs. Our firm also took legal action against a small group of property owners that believed they owned the bottom of a public lake, believed the current NPDES permit was illegal and questioned the validity of the homeowners association to manage the lake. The court rejected every argument the group brought forth.
